Joint application started on 16 March

The joint application of the spring started on 16 March and it will end on 6 April 2016 at 15:00. TUAS offers altogether 60 degree programmes in the joint application, and three of them are conducted in English.

The actors of 5G Test Network Finland to present their activities at international fairs

In 2015, the top global companies of the Finnish telecommunications industry, research institutes and the state joined forces in the extensive 5GTNF test environment within Tekes’ 5thGear programme. The aim was to offer the best possible 5G test environment for Finnish companies as they develop their own research and business activities.

Collection of end-of-life textiles started

Since the beginning of 2016, residents within the area of Lounais-Suomen Jätehuolto have had the opportunity to deliver dispensable end-of-life textiles to sorting stations or waste treatment centres.

The number of applicants to programmes conducted in English on the rise

Higher education degree programmes conducted in English were included in the first joint application of the year, which took place on 8–27 January 2016. Turku University of Applied Sciences offered four study options.

Tuition fees for students from outside the EU/EEA area from 2017

The Board of Turku University of Applied Sciences has decided to introduce tuition fees for students coming from outside the EU/EEA area in foreign-language degree programmes at Turku University of Applied Sciences. The fees will be introduced to those who start their studies in 2017.

The Social Services students organised the International Breeze event at Ruiskatu campus on the 2nd of February. The day began with information about the student exchange possibilities and listening to students telling about their experiences abroad.

A composition competition attracted guitarists from Costa Rica to Iran

The composition competition organised by guitarist Timo Korhonen received 42 compositions from over twenty countries by the deadline. The competition, now organised for the first time, exceeded the organiser’s expectations.
