The Current Best Practices in Oral Health Care

We invite you to study online (LMS) study module (5 ECTS), Current Best Practices in Oral Health Care. The study module is targeted to Dental Hygienist Stundets and qualified Dental Hygienists.

Purpose of the study module is to promote collaboration within the Dental Hygiene Programs in different countries and to broaden, and as well to deepen, the knowledge of the different cultures in the different countries and strenghten the academic level. The course is designed to bring togerher the know-how and expertise in oral health prevention and promotion.

The Structure of the Study module

The role of cares risk assessment methods in the development of preventive programmes 2 ects Riga Stradins University
Prevention of oral diseases among children in the period of primary and mixed dentition 1 ects Lithuanian University of Health Sciences
Xylitol in oral health promotion 1 ects Turku University of Applied Sciences and Savonia University of Applied Sciences
Evaluation and feedback 0,5 ects  

The materials and the content of the study model will follow the European Guidelines of Dentistry. The study module has been developed and executed in co-operation with Turku and Savonia Universties of Applied Sciences in Finland, Riga Stradins University in Latvia and Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.

The course will start in February 2017. The exact starting week will be confirmed later. Registration period ends on 31st of December 2016. The course fee is 500€ (+VAT according to the customer´s country).
